The Other Octopus

I've had this little octopus swimming around my desk ever since this post. I didn't want to file him.. he needed a home so I decided to make something just for him. I also decided I would use the one distress stain I own since everyone swoons about them.

The blue is the Broken China stain.. the gray blue is the white card that was inked with Faded Jeans I did after the stain.

It looks ok, water is kinda crazy so it fits. I'm not sold with the card. Dare I say I'm not sold on the distress stains either. I will admit it's prolly user error, but I don't enjoy them the way I enjoy the ink pads. I'd really like to see more examples. Kinda funny everyone raves about how cool they were but there really isn't much in the way of video's concerning them. I digress...

In another note unrelated to the card I got some serious loot coming in the mail thanks to my amazing friends and family. Yet another reason why Birthdays are good. :D My Mom got me the one thing I've wanting for a while.. a Big Kick :D (Amazon will sell it cheaper wait for the price to drop) very very very exciting. I haven't had the time to play with it yet. I can say it's out of the package.. it's a start.

  2. Love that your little octopus has a sweet and colorful home. And I'm happy that you are experimenting the Distress Stains. I think I'm with you, love the inks not sure about the stains. Maybe we can put our heads together and come up with the next big thing using Distress Stains...you never know!
Yay for you getting the birthday love...have fun and enjoy your new toys!
